The Solution
A Groundbreaking Initiative
Through the full-OPEX model, the solar farms were financed, installed and managed by IPT PowerTech. In order to achieve the objective of reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) on these two sites, the energy service system uses highly efficient photovoltaic solar panels sized to maximize the solar energy component, metal structure for photovoltaic panels, hybrid inverter system accompanied by Li-Ion batteries to best adapt to the application (random charging, high temperature), battery storage selected for best TCO and fuel reduction.
Results
Reduced Total Cost of Ownership
The solar panels enabled off-grid operation for Orange Guinea's data centers, reduced diesel consumption and CO2 emissions and lowered the generator maintenance costs.
