The Challenge
High Power, Low Noise
The engineering requirements were demanding: High power output Sound level limited to 70 dBA Operation under demanding environmental conditions Robust and high-performance enclosure design Very tight delivery timeline The challenge was not simply to manufacture a generator, but to engineer a solution th could meet demanding power, acoustic, environmental, and delivery requirements simultaneously.
The Solution
Engineered for High-Capacity Performance
IPT PowerTech engineered and manufactured a 2,000 kVA Cummins genset with a Leroy-Somer alternator, integrating a high-performance acoustic canopy designed to achieve a sound level of 70 dBA. The solution was engineered to meet the required performance under demanding environmental conditions while maintaining the necessary acoustic specifications. IPT PowerTech managed the complete process, from engineering and canopy fabrication through assembly, testing, and validation. The genset was fully manufactured and tested by IPT PowerTech, ensuring technical compliance and performance verification before delivery. The complete solution was developed and completed within two weeks, demonstrating the ability to execute a high-capacity power generation project within a highly compressed timeline.
Results
2,000 kVA Delivered in Two Weeks
The project delivered a 2,000 kVA power generation solution with a verified 70 dBA sound level, combining high power capacity with controlled acoustic performance. Despite the demanding specifications, IPT PowerTech completed the engineering, manufacturing, testing, and validation process within two weeks. The project demonstrates the value of integrated engineering and manufacturing capabilities when high-capacity power equipment must be delivered quickly without compromising testing and validation requirements.
